Sandy Chalmers - Reading Rockets 

Reading Rockets was founded by Sandy Chalmers in Dingley Village, Melbourne.  Sandy is a fully qualified Primary School Teacher with current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration and has taught in several Primary Schools in Melbourne.  She also has a Cambridge Certificate in English Language Teaching (CELTA) and many years experience teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) both in Melbourne and overseas in Japan and China.  She loves teaching Prep at the Primary School Level and was nominated for a National Excellence in Teaching Award (NEITA) as a Prep Teacher in 2005 and again in 2006.  Sandy has three children: twin boys aged 16 and a third son aged 14.

Jaci Lundy – Reading Rockets Dingley

Jaci has a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education and Graduate Diploma of Education – Primary. As a fully qualified primary teacher she has taught for many years in local primary schools with more than 10 years experience teaching prep. Jaci is passionate about early education paving the way for success in literacy and numeracy. An avid collector of children’s literature, she loves nothing more than seeing the joy on children’s faces when sharing a story with them.  Jaci is a mum of two children, aged 4 and 8, and is looking forward to teaching Reading Rockets in Dingley.

Leonie Angelis - Reading Rockets Parkdale 

Leonie is a fully qualified Primary School Teacher and has been teaching at Beaumaris Primary School in Victoria since 2005.  She has lots of experience teaching Prep, Year 1, 2 and 3 students and also has extensive experience working with children with disabilities.  Leonie takes Reading Rockets classes at Parkdale two days a week as well as teaching two days a week at Beaumaris Primary School and she also manages to fit in some private tutoring as well.  Leonie has three children aged 13, 11 and 9.

Maureen Donnelly - Reading Rockets Mornington

Maureen has spent many years teaching primary and kindergarten aged children, both here in Australia and in Singapore.  She is a very natural and talented teacher who is in her fifth year of managing and teaching the Mornington Reading Rockets' classes.

 

  

Kellie Armstrong 

Kellie is a fully qualified Primary School Teacher and has taught in a number of schools across the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne. She has a passion for literacy with experience teaching Prep, Year 1 and Year 2 as both a classroom teacher and as a Literacy Intervention Specialist. She also has experience as an EAL (English as an Additional Language) teacher. Kellie enjoys teaching Reading Rockets and being a Mum to her teenage daughter.
