Welcome to Reading Rockets Education Australia

Reading Rockets is a one-hour class for 4-5 year olds (who are starting school the following year).  The focus at Reading Rockets is on reading and writing skills, although we do at least one number game/activity each session as well.  Sessions are fast-paced and fun combining a number of hands-on activities, games, craft, songs and chants.

At Reading Rockets, 4-5 year olds learn about lower case and capital letters, phonics (letters and sounds), writing their name in Victorian Modern Cursive, numbers and many other skills that lay the foundations not only for literacy and numeracy learning but also for success and confidence when they start Prep.

Reading Rockets is all about:

  • FUN and LEARNING!
  • Giving children a head start in literacy for when they start school.
  • Children experiencing success and developing an ?I can do this? attitude to reading, writing and learning.
  • Learning through age-appropriate, multi-sensory activities such as games, craft, cutting and pasting, songs, chants & rhymes and other hands-on activities that will make your child want every day to be a Reading Rockets day!

Parents love Reading Rockets because it sparks their child's interest in the letters, sounds and words around them.

Kids love Reading Rockets because it's lots of fun!
